What happens when Credits run low

Updated Oct 20, 2026

We warn you before it happens, and you never go into debt.

The warnings, and what follows

Account fees are taken on the 1st of each month (UTC), for the accounts connected at that time.

  • 7 days before the month ends
We email you if next month’s account fees can’t be covered.
  • 1 day before the month ends
A second email, after the same check.
  • On the 1st (UTC)
If Credits can’t cover all account fees, your accounts disconnect. Your flows and settings stay.
  • After you top up
Connect again. You are charged for the days left in the month, and you may need to approve access again.

No overdraft

Your balance never goes below zero. When Credits can’t cover something, it simply does not start: no new paid work begins while your balance is too low.

Adding and removing accounts

An account you add part way through the month is charged at once for the days left. Removing an account part way through the month does not refund that month’s fee, and your flows and settings stay.
